Cash Bail 8.29.2018

The governor signs into law legislation that would eliminate cash bail for pretrial detention. Governor Brown says that California is reforming its bail system so that rich and poor alike are treated fairly. Under senate bill 10, bail will be replaced with “risk assessment” of individuals and non-monetary conditions of release.
