Cal Fire approves a $3.9 million dollar grant to prevent fires in the county. The grant goes to San Luis Obispo county fire safety council. The council has applied for grants previously, but the largest donation up to this point has been $500 thousand dollars. The money comes from Cal Fire at the state level.

The Paso Robles city council votes to follow the recommendations of parking consultant Julie Dixon. Based in San Diego, Julie Dixon works with cities throughout the county to address parking issues. The “Near Term” solutions include improved signage and outreach to encourage employees to park out of the downtown area.
