Plastic Straws 10.11.2018

The Santa Barbara city council votes again to ban the use of plastic straws, stirrers and other cutlery items. After a barrage of criticism from national media outlets, the council removes the potential misdemeanor penalty associated with violations of the law. The vote Tuesday night was 6-1. The ban goes into effect on January first.
