US health officials say this year’s measles epidemic has reached 839 cases. That’s the greatest number since 1994,when 963 cases were reported. This year, that’s at the beginning of May. 23 states reported measles cases this year. The vast majority have been in New York. Most of them among unvaccinated people in orthodox Jewish communities.
