In San Luis Obispo, city officials are cracking down on young hikers who throw confetti on Terrace Hill to create pictures for social media. Apparently, the glitter creates an exciting panoramic photo, but the confetti is littering the hikers trail. The city has posted signs discouraging the behavior.

Oakland teachers are prepared to walk off the job today. Some 3,000 teachers may walk out on strike. They’re demanding higher pay and smaller classes.
