One sad note this morning. Former Paso Robles city councilman Ed Steinbeck died recently after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. Steinbeck served four years on the Paso Robles planning commission before serving on the city council. Steinbeck died earlier this month in Indianapolis, where he lived with his daughter and her family.
Congress is expected to work this week, then they take a vacation. Most will not return until after election day November 3rd. The senate will return next month, however, to consider the president’s nominee for the US supreme court, Judge Amy Coney Barrett. We learn more about 38-year-old Christopher Straub, the active shooter was killed in a shoot-out with sheriff’s deputies on Theater drive last Thursday morning.
