A vegetation fire broke out yesterday afternoon in San Miguel, around a quarter past 1. The fire was located near the 2000 block of Bald Eagle Way. The fire was extinguished in less than an hour, and reached a total of 8 acres. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.

A PG&E power outage swept through the Atascadero area yesterday at around 10 am. Around 1,700 customers were without power for several hours before it was fully restored later in the evening. The cause of the outage is unknown.
